So today I am home sick, and decided that I would try install Linux on my system, this time I chose Knoppix STD. I chose this distro because it is CD based and has all the network utilities built in. But after the small setup I realized it wasn’t detecting my wireless card. So I rebooted back into XP and read up that there is no support for Intel Mini-PCI Wifi cards. This is not a fault of the Linux distro producers, but a fault of Intel, who has not release a driver for the full Centrino chipset. And from my reading there is no set date to when they will create a driver. So as per reason 9012933 I will not be installing Linux again.
